Dude…enough chicken already!

I’m 4 days in to my 100 day challenge, and I tried to give chicken another chance, but I think I ruined it for myself last year. There’s just something about eating chicken that I’ve cooked – it makes me want to vomit!

I’ve never cooked chicken that has made me sick before, but for some reason, I’m super paranoid about it. When I eat it, I have that thought running through my head, and the strange thing is – it’s only chicken that I’ve made myself. I had some chicken at Miller’s house this weekend that was pretty damn good!

Just sent Ty a message about a substitute, and apparently I can’t go with pork – gotta stick with turkey or fish. I think Courtney made those tacos on Friday from tilapia…I might have to give that a try, and I’ll just fall back on halibut if I have to.

Try sea bass. So, so good.

    Or black cod.

Either of those on the list?

    Oh, or mahi mahi.

  3. Courtney says:

Yes that was tilapia. It’s a perfect for fish tacos but I wouldn’t eat it often as tilapia is used in large fish farms to clean tanks for larger more expensive farmed fish, which is why it’s noticeably cheaper than other fish. Try some salmon preferably not fame raised, halibut, ahi or even a good sea bass. Stay away from catfish though as they are a bit higher in fat

I know, right?!?!? I’ve freakin had it with chicken! I’m going to learn how to cook fish. Cod is freakin awesome if you can find good, fresh pieces. I love fresh salmon and Ahi is MONEY – cooking it is a different story.

I’m no nazi anyway, I’ll cook a good New York Strip as much as anything. Though I have been cutting back to just 4 oz or so… A lot of times I’ll just go with eggs. Easy to make, tons of protein, and help with Testosterone production – that’s a good deal!

    • My trainer just responded and said I can have halibut and salmon. Now I gotta figure out how to cook it just right.

I should start a cookbook for him based on the foods I can eat…trying to keep everything fresh and not so repetitive…
